Fractional Content Marketing

Senior content leadership embedded in how your team actually works, without the overhead of a full-time hire, strategy, execution, and program management, on an ongoing basis.

Let's talk →

Why fractional, and why now

At the level of experience this work requires, a full-time hire runs $180K or more a year before benefits. Most Series A–B startups don't have a workload that justifies that, even when the need for senior content judgment is real. Fractional content marketing gives you access to that level of expertise while staying flexible about where the budget actually goes month to month.

This isn't a part-time writer. It's someone who owns the editorial standard your content is held to, trains and reviews the people producing it, and makes the strategic calls that would otherwise bottleneck on a single overloaded marketing lead, all embedded in your existing team and tools, not operating at arm's length from a separate agency.

What's included

Fractional engagements flex to what your team needs most at a given time, drawing from all of the following.

Fractional Content Marketing

Part-time access to an experienced content marketing leader who provides strategy, hands-on execution, and program management.

  • Content and SEO strategy ownership
  • Hands-on execution when the team needs extra capacity
  • Content program management across writers and timelines
  • Direct reporting on what's working and what to shift

Editorial Direction and Team Training

Ownership of the voice, quality bar, and editorial standards your content is held to, and the training to keep it consistent.

  • Documented voice and editorial guidelines
  • Review and feedback on work from writers and contractors
  • Onboarding and training for new content hires
  • A quality bar that scales past any one person's judgment

How it works

1

Discovery call

We talk through your product, your audience, and what's not working with content today, so I understand the real problem before proposing anything.

2

Scope alignment

I put together a scope and timeline built around what you actually need, not a standard package you have to fit yourself into.

3

Work, review, deliver

I get to work, keep you in the loop along the way, and build in review checkpoints so nothing lands as a surprise at the end.

Good fit if...

  • You need senior content leadership but aren't ready for a full-time hire
  • You have writers or contractors but no one owning the overall program
  • You want a long-term, embedded partner rather than a single project
  • Your content needs are ongoing, not a one-time engagement

Probably not, if...

A few questions people often ask

Why should I work with you instead of hiring a full-time employee?

At this level of expertise, a full-time hire typically runs $180K+/year plus benefits. Working together on a fractional basis gets you that expertise while keeping budget flexible for whatever the business needs most right now.

Do you charge hourly, by the project, or monthly retainers?

Fractional work is retainer-based. I don't do hourly billing, it's a poor fit for the kind of judgment-driven work this is.

Who do you typically work with?

Mostly Series A–B B2B SaaS and AI platform startups, plus some public companies, across categories like spatial computing, developer tools, hospitality tech, HR tech, fintech, and security.
